Our client, located at "Ingleburn", is considered a global industry leader within the "Specialty Chemicals" sector. Making their presence felt more than ever in the Australian marketplace, they have invested in a dynamic sales force which is generating substantial business and as such has necessitated this role.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this position is required to provide support and to alleviate operational workflow that this manager has been carrying and can no longer sustain, without impact to the customer.
Being sought is an experienced operations professional with at least 3 years expertise in purchasing or procurement within a fast paced and complex environment. You will need to have proven exposure to overseas suppliers and be responsible for co-ordinating all imports with freight forwarding agents and customs brokers.
All candidates must have strong System skills with ERP/MRP, such as SAP/MFGPro, BPICS etc. You must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, supported by strong negotiation skills. You must be well presented and have the ability to engage people at all levels both internally and externally. Experience gained within the Chemical/Food/Pharmaceutical or Petro Chemical sectors would be a distinct advantage.
Exposure or direct experience with SAP will be considered a distinct advantage with an impending implementation on the horizon - but not critical. It is important that you understand this and embrace this challenge.

This role will commence the probationary period of up to 6 months being paid by our business then transfer to the client directly. During this period you will accrue leave entitlements and public holidays etc. so you will not be disadvantaged. This is a legitimate full time position.
