We currently have several vacancies for Public Liability Claims Officers to join our OneQBE Claims team in Queensland. Each role will see you proactively manage a portfolio of long tail liability claims, ensuring that quality customer service is provided. Role Responsibilities: * Accurate completion and validation of claims * Interaction in a professional manner with third parties * Efficient management of the claims process * Initiation and completion of any recoveries from third parties * Ensure compliance with relevant statutory guidelines and standards * Self audit of claims files to ensure positive internal audits * Quality Customer Focus * Establish and maintain good client relationships with the insured, brokers, investigators, solicitors and the general public * Response to enquiries in an accurate, timely, professional and courteous manner within Privacy guidelines Position Requirements: * Experience in a relevant claims area * Understanding of the Queensland personal injury legislation * Sound knowledge of medical terminology and legal proceedings * An understanding of, and demonstrable application of, the General Insurance Code of Practice * Understanding of underwriting procedures * PC literacy and experience in word processing and spreadsheet applications * Excellent written & verbal communication skills * Ability to contribute and support within a team environment * Ability to build and maintain strong client/customer relationships * Proven time management skills * Good problem solving skills - ability to interpret technical / investigation reports to make sound business decisions * Ability to participate in alternative dispute resolution These are fantastic opportunities for liability professionals to join the best in the business.
