Linux SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR (Patch Management, Security, Scripting) 12 Months Contract $70/hrAbout the Company/Role: A Global name and leader in technology requires an experienced Linux Administrator to join their West Pennant Hills Unix team. This person will support the designated applications on the Servers, and provide preventative maintenance on OS upgrades and application/software maintenance patches. Responsibilities: - Manage CIRATS and Calendar Trigger events on designated Servers
- Implement approved changes on designated Servers
- Provide preventative maintenance
- Support designated applications on the Servers
- Execute patch deployment as required
- Remediate system security violations
- Maintain security standards
- Automate manual processes via PERL or Shell Scripting
Required Skills: - Experience in Linux System Administration -essential
- Experience in Patch Management of Unix OS - essential
- Experience in Administration and support to Solaris Hardware -preferred
- Experience in administration and support of pSeries Hardware -preferred
- Experience with Calendar trigger processes - preferred
- Some exposure to Admin and support of IBM AIX Systems
- Some experience to Administration and support of Linux and FreeBSD systems
