We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Commercial Analyst to join our BPO Division. In this role your time will be split between our Sydney based offices and will see you reporting to the Commercial Manager - Contracts & Tenders..
As Commercial Analyst you will be responsible for:
- Providing commercial advice and support to the management team and contributing to business decision making.
- Reviewing the pricing and commercial terms of major tenders/proposals.
- Contributing to or advising on the preparation of more complex tender submissions and assisting with client negotiations as required.
- Developing, negotiating and driving contractual agreements with the objective of maximising profit, managing risk and optimising performance.
- Supporting the Bid Team on organisational contract proposals, amendments and supplementary agreements - balancing the necessity to make sales with the need to ensure high quality business relations.
- Providing recommendations to line management on legal and financial risk inherent in potential proposals or contracts.
- Promoting and utilising standard and non-standard contracts to ensure legal and commercial integrity of contracts.
- Tender preparation " contract review, pricing/costing schedules and ensuring compliance with Salmat contract approval process
- Providing analytical support to model and assess the viability of new product offerings.
- Development of pricing tools to assist the Pricing team.
- Making recommendations for profit improvement strategies and reviewing the viability and appropriateness of capital expenditure/business plans
- Provision of accurate and timely reporting to Branch / Department Managers and Corporate.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Ensuring the security of financial systems and the integrity of audit trials.
- Focus on Cash flow in particular debtor management.
- Pro-active management of Contracts renewals
To be considered for this position you must have a minimum of 4-5 years experience in a senior finance position, along with a high level of computer literacy. Your first class communication and interpersonal skills will complement your ability to make and influence decisions and deliver results. You will be a CPA/CA qualified Accountant with a high degree of commercial acumen and a strong focus on the importance of meeting or exceeding customer expectations. Drive, initiative and the ability to think outside the square are essential.
